In the tenure of State Administration Council Government, efforts are being made to increase exports via border trade posts and regular trade routes. In this regard;
- During two-month period from 1 April to 31 May in the fiscal year of 2024-2025, Myanmar has earned USD51.601 million from the export of 47,719.523 tonnes of sorts of fish to foreign markets as it has earned USD 33.45 million 23,687.149 tonnes of fish via regular trade route and USD 18.151 million from the export of 24,032.347 tonnes of fish via border trade posts.
- During two-month period from 1 April to 7 June in the fiscal year of 2024-2025, Myanmar has earned USD 1,335.163 million from the export of CMP products to foreign markets: USD 600.237 million from the export of CMP products through government agencies and USD 734.926 million from the export of CMP products through private sector.
- In May, 42 companies have exported 71,279.5 tonnes of rice and broken rice to foreign markets (i.e. 35,338.5 tonnes of rice and 35,941 tonnes of broken rice), earning over USD 36 million.
- As a public-private partnership, Ministry of Commerce, in cooperation with UMFCCI, has arranged to boost export daily via shipment from Yangon International Port. In this regard, it has exported 8,100 tonnes seed of corn to foreign countries on 17 June and 103,800 tonnes of rice as well as 202,900 tonnes of seed of corn on 18 June.
- During two-month period from 1 April to 7 June in the fiscal year of 2024-2025, Myanmar has earned USD 485.594 million from the export of 531,715.177 tonnes of varieties of pulses to foreign markets: 510,653.861 tonnes of varieties of pulses via maritime trade route and 21,061 tonnes of varieties of pulses via border trade posts.
Over two-month period in the fiscal year of 2024-2025, Myanmar has earned a total of USD 2,623.678 million from the exports of agricultural products, animal products, fishery products, mineral products, forestry products, CMP products and other products. Among them, it has generated foreign income the most, reports say.
