Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by entourage, Chief Ministers of Mandalay, Magway and Sagaing Regions, the Central Command commander and officials, inspected functions of private livestock breeding farms and domestic production industries in Meiktila and Wundwin Townships, Meiktila District of Mandalay Region on 15 June.
Firstly, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister and party arrived at the goat and sheep farm of U Mya Han on Meiktila-Thazi Road, the Garden Family goat farm in Hsuphyukhet Village, the Kaung Htet San dairy cow farm in Tawma Village, and Traditional Weaving businesses in Meiktila and Wundwin Townships, Shwe Thedaw company in Wundwin, and Keinnayi textile industry, separately. And then, they heard sector-wise reports on the functions of their businesses presented by the concerned officials.
At the meeting with the entrepreneurs of the relevant businesses, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister said as follows:
- A systematic livestock breeding system must be upgraded rather than a conventional system.
- Breeders should set up meat production factory to produce quality products such as frozen and dried meats, rather selling the whole animal.
- Research must be conducted on softness and nutrition level of goats age wise and strain wise.
- Breeders must constantly study the breeding and feeding systems of other countries.
- Some textile factories have to import cotton fibers for their production business. Use of quality added local cotton fibers will benefit the industry and reduce production cost.
- A research program must be launched to rely on locally made cotton fibers.
Later, the Senior General and officials coordinated some requirements what they can fulfill the needs immediately.
