Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye received Joint Director-General of Military Intelligence Maj-Gen Charanjeet Singh Dewgun, YSM, ADG MI (A), Indian Armed Forces, at BayintnaungYeiktha in Nay Pyi Taw on 12 June. During the meeting, they openly exchanged views the points as follows:
- Matters related to the enhancement of bilateral relations between the two armed forces, military cooperation, exchange of trainees, cooperation in conducting training, plans to cooperate in peace and stability, security and law enforcement at the border regions between the two countries were discussed.
Also present at the meeting were Lt-Gen Ko Ko Oo of Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and senior military officers. The Joint Director-General of Military Intelligence of the Indian Armed Forces was accompanied by Indian Defence Attaché Colonel Jaswinder Singh Gill and officials, it is reported.
