Union Ministers Receive Pakistani Ambassador

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung, Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant and Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) Daw Than Than Swe received H.E. Mr. Imran Haider, Ambassador of Pakistan to Myanmar, at the respective ministries in Nay Pyi Taw on 12 and 13 June.

• During the meeting between Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Meeting and Pakistani Ambassador, both sides focused on enhancing cooperation in textile and cotton production, adopting technology for dairy buffalo breeding, advancing paddy research, and introducing new crop varieties.
• During the meeting between Union Minister for Construction Meeting and Pakistani Ambassador, both sides frankly exchanged views on the matters relating to strengthening bilateral friendship and cooperation, the initiatives to improve the socioeconomic conditions of the people, the road and bridge construction, and urban and housing sector development.
• During the meeting between CBM Governor and Pakistani Ambassador, they candidly discussed on the economic and financial matters.

Present at the respective events were deputy ministers, permanent-secretaries, and departmental officials.
