Union Ministers Receive Ambassadors of United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr Kan Zaw, Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung, Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin, Union Minister for Labour U Myint Naung  and Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant received Mr Mutaz Abdullah Abduljaleel Mohamed Al Faheem, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, at the respective Ministries on June 12 and 13.

• During the meeting between Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), they frankly discussed enhancing the investment and economic cooperation between Myanmar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and matters related to regional and international cooperation.
• During the meeting between Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), they frankly discussed matters pertaining to promotion of cooperation in food production and agricultural sector, and opportunities for farming, aquatic products and investment.
• During the meeting between Union Minister for Energy and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), they exchanged views openly on the oil and natural gas sector, close cooperation in the Green Energy transformation sector, the potential to hold technical conferences on energy, the possibility of UAE companies visiting and investing in Myanmar’s energy sector and sending experts from Myanmar to the UAE to study oil and natural gas exploration, production, and refinery technologies.
• During the meeting between Union Minister for Labour and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), they discussed matters related to more opportunities of Myanmar workers at abroad, socio-economic development of workers and their families, expansion of foreign labour market, the Ministry’s permission to dispatch workers to Middle-east countries, legal protection on more than 4,000 Myanmar labours working in the UAE in the face of problems.  
• During the meeting between Union Minister for Construction and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), they cordially exchanged views on promoting cooperation in infrastructure investment sectors, regional development, and strengthening the friendship between Myanmar.

Deputy Ministers, permanent secretaries and departmental officials attended the respective meetings.
