Efforts made to Increase Exports in the Fiscal Year of 2024-2025

In the tenure of State Administration Council Government, efforts are being made to increase exports via border trade posts and regular trade routes. In this regard;

  • From 1 April to 24 May in the fiscal year of 2024-2025, Myanmar exported a total of 415,819.879 tonnes of variety of pulses to foreign markets: 402,215.936 tonnes via martime trade and 13,603.943 tonnes via border trade posts, earning USD 357.014 million.
  • From 1 April to 24 May in the fiscal year of 2024-2025, Myanmar earned a total of USD 862.279 million from the export of agro-products via private sector.
  • Under the schedule of 2.5 million tonnes of rice/broken rice shipment in the fiscal year of 2024-2025, eight cargo ships have docked at eight jetties of Yangon International Port. A total of 135,920 tonnes rice will be exported to foreign markets, and then, four additional ships will dock at the port for shipment.

Myanmar has exported forestry-products, agro-products, animal products, fishery products, mineral products, CMP products and other products to foreign countries. It has earned USD 1,997.27 million, reports say.
