As primary, middle and high schools under the Department of Basic Education will be opened on 3 June for the 2024-25 academic year, the enrolment week has been set from 23 May to 2 June. From 23 May to 2 June, 6,394,528 students had made school enrolment. School heads, those in charge of schools and teachers of relevant basic education schools in regions and states assisted parents and guardians in smoothly enrolling their children. The Ministry of Education offers textbooks, notebooks and stationeries free of charge to all students. Additionally, the ministry provides free school uniforms for primary students. Furthermore, students who are late in enrolling for various reasons are also being accepted for enrolment, it is reported.
