Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Wife Ask about Health Conditions of Presiding Patron of Maha Wizitayon Monastery of Mandalay and Military Personnel undergoing Medical Treatments at Military Hospital

Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, accompanied by officials on 30 May, asked about the health conditions of  Presiding Patron of Maha Wizitayon Monastery of Mandalay State Ovadacariya Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Agga Maha Pandita Bhaddanta Vicarinda Bhivamsa, aged 96 and 76 years of monkhood (Vasa),  who is receiving medical treatment at the military hospital in PyinOoLwin and the health conditions of the officers and other ranks, Myanmar Police Force members, and local people’s militia, who are receiving medical treatments for their injuries they sustained while serving State defence and security duties.

In this regard, the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and wife, and party made the following activities:

  • They firstly paid homage to the Venerable Sayadaw, and looked into healthcare services being provided to him. The Senior General then instructed the officials for continuously checking the health conditions of the Sayadaw to provide necessary assistance, arrangements for the Sayadaw to improve immune system, personal hygiene, and physical exercises, and provisions for health aid equipment for the Sayadaw to reside at the monastery with improved health conditions. They then donated offertories, medicines, nutritious meals and cash for nine prerequisites to the Sayadaw.
  • After that, the Senior General and party asked about the injuries and treatments of the officers and other ranks, Myanmar Police Force members, and local people’s militia individually, who sustained injuries while serving State defence and security duties, and comforted them. After hearing the reports presented by the patients, the Senior General fulfilled their needs and presented cash awards and gifts to them.
  • Likewise, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, and party cordially comforted families of Tatmadaw members receiving medical treatments at the maternity and child wards of the hospital and presented gifts.
  • Next, the Senior General viewed round the use of medical and hospital equipment and preparations of medical wards, and fulfilled their needs regarding the reports of the officials.

The SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and party inspected regiments and units, training schools and academies in PyinOoLwin station in a motorcade.
