K318.914 Billion from State Economic Promotion Fund Provided to Enhance Agricultural and Livestock Sectors

State Economic Promotion Fund Management Committee held its 2/2024 coordination meeting at the meeting hall of the Union Minister Office, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation in Nay Pyi Taw on 28 May. It was attended by the Chairmen of the State Economic Promotion Fund Management Committee Deputy Ministers Dr. Aung Gyi and Dr. Tin Htut, committee members, officials of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) while the officials from the regions and states joined the event virtually.

During the meeting, the attendees had discussions on matters related to the farming projects with the assistance of State Economic Promotion Fund: summer and monsoon paddy, oil crops such as groundnut, sesame, sunflower, broiler, duck layer, and CP pig farming, projects to be carried out, dairy cattle, cattle, layer chicken, goat and sheep farming projects. Currently, the State Economic Promotion Fund disbursed loan of K318.914 billion for development of agricultural and livestock sectors.

Moreover, the irrigation water project will be implemented with a loan from the promotion fund for 1,400 acres of agricultural land of 164 businesses belonging to 133 farmers in 18 townships of Mandalay, Bago and Yangon Regions including Union Territory.
