Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla offered day meals to the members of the Sangha who graced the auspicious ceremonies in commemoration of the Buddha Day on full moon day in 2024 of Kason at the Aggadipati Sasana Beikman in the Maravijaya Buddha Park in Nay Pyi Taw on 22 May.
The ceremony was graced by 36 members of the Sangha led by Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee (SSMNC) Thanlyin Minkyaung Sayadaw Dr. Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa and Secretary of the SSMNC Patron of Masoyein Taikthit Monastery in Mandalay Sayadaw of Dhammathamiddhi Monastery Maha Dhamma Kahtika Bahujana Hitadhaja Bhaddanta Vaselhabhivamsa. Also present at the event along with the SAC Chairman Prime Minister and wife were the SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife, council Joint-Secretary and wife, council members and wives, union-level dignitaries, union ministers and wives, the Nay Pyi Taw Council chair, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and wives, the Nay Pyi Taw Command commander and officials.
At the event, the congregation led by the SAC Chairman Prime Minister and wife took the Eight Precepts from SSMNC Chairman Thanlyin Minkyaung Sayadaw, and donated offertories to the members of the Sangha. They then offered day meals to the members of the Sangha.
