In the tenure of State Administration Council Government, efforts are being made to increase exports via border trade posts and regular trade routes. In this regard;
- From 1st to 30th of April 2024 in the fiscal year of 2024-2025, Myanmar earned a total of USD 1.321 million from the export of 322.578 tonnes of prawn: USD 1.255 million from the export of 311.468 tonnes of prawn to foreign markets via regular trade routes and USD 0.066 million from the export of 11.11 tonnes of prawn via border trade posts.
- On 8 May, 6,000 tonnes of seed of corn and 9,400 tonnes of pulses were exported to foreign markets.
- On 10 May, 220,100 tonnes of seed of corn and 10,850 tonnes of rice were exported to foreign markets.
Myanmar regularly exports fishery products to 40 foreign countries, it is reported.
