Closing Ceremonies of Thingyan Water-splashing Pavilions Held in Regions and States, Thronged with Revelers and Charity Feast (Studitha) Donors

On the occasion of changing to 1386 ME from 1385 ME, the closing ceremonies of the water-splashing pavilions were held in line with Myanmar traditional customs across the nation on 16 April. Similarly, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy, and Air) General Maung Maung Aye and wife, senior military officers of Office of Commander-in-Chief and wives, officers, other ranks and family members and choral (Yein) dance troupes attended the closing ceremony of Maha Thingyan pavilion of the families of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air).

Likewise, the closing ceremonies of the water-splashing pavilions were held in towns/villages of regions and states. At the water pavilions, public figure artistes, singers, K-Pop singers from Korea performed entertainments in companion with the D.J music band, and which are also crowded with revelers and people enjoying water-throwing activities. Moreover, pavilions were thronged with people who served food for all comers. Furthermore, pagodas were also crowded with those who came to pay homage the pagodas and kept the Sabbath.

In order to exchange culture between Myanmar and Korea and perform entertainment for the public, 24 K-Pop members from Korea arrived in Myanmar on 9 April. They made their music performance all the best for the people to relax them in Myanmar traditional water festival, reports say.
