On 14 April, an explosion of two IEDs planted by PDF terrorists took place at the motorbike parking behind Mayor Thingyan Pavilion in Chanayethazan Township, Mandalay Region, injuring 12 people including five children who are enjoying Thingyan water festival.
As such terrorist attacks were unacceptable, Young Men’s Buddhist Association, YMBA (Central), Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Group (Central), Myanmar Evangelical Christian Alliance (Central), The Methodist Church (Lower Myanmar), Faith Evangelical Church (Bago), Liberation Church (Yangon), All Myanmar Hindu Central Council, All Myanmar Tamil Hindu Foundation (H.Q), Sananta Dharmapalaka (Hindu) League, Myanmar Islamic Organization, Myanmar Press Council, Myanmar Sports Media Federation, Myanmar Motion Picture Organization, Myanmar Music Association, Myanmar Artists Organization (Central), Myanmar Theatrical Organization (Central), Myanmar Comedians’ Association, Myanmar Writers’ Association, Pinnaygone Rakhine Jaame Mosque and Buthidaung-Maungtaw Development Association strongly protested against the said-terrorist attack on water pavilion by issuing statements, reports say.
