The Union Minister for Construction, U Myo Thant, met officials from the China International Trust and Investment Corporation (CITIC) Group Myanmar Co. Ltd. yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw. Myanmar and China discussed vital infrastructure roads and bridges in the implementation of the Kyaukpyu Special Economic Zone and the Deep-Sea Port project, the development of the trade and service sectors, the improvement of the socioeconomic lives of the local people, and the processes that can be carried out for the development of common interests between Myanmar and China.
On April 4, U Myo Thant, Union Minister of the Ministry of Construction, held a meeting with officials from China International Trust and Investment Corporation (CITIC) Group Myanmar Co., Ltd. at the Office of the Union Minister in Nay Pyi Daw. During the meeting, Myanmar and China discussed vital infrastructure roads and bridges in the implementation of the Kyaukpyu Special Economic Zone and the Deep-Sea Port project. After the completion of the project, not only the trade sector and service industries will develop, but also the conditions that will improve the socio-economic lives of the people of the region and the processes that can be carried out for the development of common interests between them.
The union minister, along with the permanent secretary of the road department and the directors and officials from the bridge department, attended the meeting. Report says.
