Efforts made to Increase Exports in the Fiscal Year of 2023-2024

In the tenure of State Administration Council Government, efforts are being made to increase exports via border trade posts and regular trade routes. In this regard;

  • During over 11-month period from 1st of April 2023 to 15th of March, Myanmar earned USD 63.971 million from the export of forestry products: USD 0.777 million via government agencies and USD 63.194 million via private sector.
  • During over 11-month period from 1st of April 2023 to 15th of March, Myanmar earned USD 1,256 million from the export of over 1.48 million tonnes of varieties of pulses via maritime trade routes and border trade posts.
  • Over 11-month period in this 2023-2024 year, Myanmar earned USD 13,985.022 million from the export of products to foreign markets: forestry, agro, animal, fishery, mineral, CMP and other products.

In April, some 50 international cargo ships will dock at Yangon Port, it is reported.
