The Indian Air Force delegation led by Indian Air Force Wing Commander Savitesh Chandler Mishra visited the world’s tallest Maravijaya Buddha Image in Dekkhinathiri Township of Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw on 30 March.
First, the pagoda board of trustees and professionals involved in building and maintaining the Buddha Image explained the successful construction process with the video records to the Indian Air Force delegation.
Then, the delegation observed special chambers built with marble stones for Buddha, the Agga Dhipati Sasana Beikman and stone plaques bearing inscriptions on Tri Pitaka treatises in Pali and Romanized languages in stone plaque chambers on which small pagodas are built, Thudhamma public rest houses, Muslainda lake and other religious structures, it is reported.
