The final match plus awarding ceremony of the 2024 Inter-State and Region U-25 Men’s Football Tournament was held at Wunna Theikdhi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw on 29 March. Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, SAC joint secretary, other council members, Union ministers, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, senior military officers and officials enjoyed the match.
In the final match, the Yangon Region team defeated the Kachin State team 3-2. Next, an awarding ceremony was held, and the Senior General then presented cash reward in honour and a pennant trophy to the Yangon Region team. Afterwards, the SAC Joint Secretary presented individual medals to the player of the Champion team, Yangon.
Other officials also presented cash awards plus medals to the best athletes, the fourth-ranked Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory team, the third-ranked Kayin State team, and the second-ranked Kachin State team, it is reported.
