Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Thet Thet Khine received Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Mongkol Visitstump at the parlour of the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 28 March.
During the meeting, they discussed the matters relating to Myanmar-Thailand tourism cooperation and tourism promotion, including marine tourism and cross-border tourism, easy and smooth access for tourists from the two countries, inviting investors from Thailand in Myanmar’s hotels and tourism sector, expansion of itineraries for foreign tourists visiting Thailand to visit Myanmar, facilitating the spending of Thai tourists visiting Myanmar and enhancing bilateral government-private cooperation.
Also present were permanent secretary, deputy permanent secretary, high-ranking officials and heads of relevant field, it is reported.
