Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla hosted a dinner reception in commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day for 2024 at the square of Zeyathiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw in the evening of 26 March with launching of fireworks.
During the event, the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and his wife cordially greeted attendees to the honorary dinner. They were Deputy Minister for Defence of the Russian Federation Colonel-General Alexander Vasilyevich Fomin and party, SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and wife, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Air) and wife, the council members and their wives, Union-level dignitaries, union ministers and their wives, senior military officers and their wives, families of the Thirty Comrades, families of retired senior military officers, Independence Mawgun award recipients, advisers, deputy ministers, Tatmadaw member retired ambassadors, military attachés and officials of foreign missions, representatives from the NCA-signatory Ethnic Armed Organizations, chairperson and officials from political parties, families and relatives of Aung San Thuriya title recipients, Thiha Thura title, Thura title, military capability gallantry title and gallantry certificate winner soldiers, families and relatives, members of Myanmar War Veterans Organization, people’s militia members, border guard central advisory board members, officials and staff from respective ministries, officials from Young Men’s Buddhist Association, Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation, Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association, Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Group (Central), artistes who participated in the dramas in honour of the Armed Forces Day, winners in the military song and marching song, poem, short story, novel contests, well-wishers of the Armed Forces Day, officials from Myanmar Press Council, motion pictures, theatrical and musical associations, and Strategic Studies Group, university training corps, faculty members and students University for Development of National Races and distinguished guests.
Before the event, the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and wife and dignitaries enjoyed the performance of artistes. The Senior General and his wife presented flower baskets to the military personnel artistes.
In commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day, emblems of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and military commands and aircraft, vessels, armoured vehicles, and three great emperors who founded first, second and third Myanmar kingdom were illuminated along the entrance road to Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army). The attendees to the dinner watched the illuminated decorations with so much pleasure.
