Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla paid respects to and greeted retired senior military officers and their wives staying at Bayintnaung Villa in Nay Pyi Taw on 26 March to attend the 79th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day Parade on 27 March 2024. The Senior General and his wife asked about their health and social requirements and fulfilled their needs.
At the meeting, the Senior General highlighted the points as follows:
- Preserving the fine traditions of the Tatmadaw, building of the world’s highest marble-carved Buddha image, construction of Maravijaya Buddha Park,
- Efforts being made by Tatmadaw for forging peace and stability of the State, activation of the People’s Military Service Law and the Reserve Forces Law,
- Endeavours of the State Administration Council for overall development and long -term existence of religion and cultural heritage.
The retired senior military officers expressed their delights and pleasure in participating in the Armed Forces Day parade. They also said that they supported and recognized the efforts for the nation’s responsibilities from all sides, it is reported.
