Opening event of 13th ATOMEXPO 2024 International Forum was held Sochi of the Russian Federation on 25 March. Official and representatives of government agencies, international organizations, NGOs and business industries and nuclear experts from 75 countries attended the event.
- Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Electrical Power U Nyan Tun and Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw attended the plenary session and round table discussion of the forum.
- Union Minister U Nyan Tun discussed with Director General Grigory Na-zarov about solar power plant and small hydropower plant to be invested in Myanmar. Again, he met Director General Andrey Rozhdestvin of JSC Rusatom Energy Projects about thermal power plant.
During the plenary session and round table discussion, participants discussed matters related to innovation based on nuclear energy, schemes for reduction of carbon reduction, sustainable access of energy, harmony between reusable energy and nuclear energy generation, peaceful use of atomic energy, global nuclear industry and latest achievement on relevant fields.
The forum displayed modern exhibition and models related to nuclear-based industry, energy sector, industrial sector, natural environment sector, healthcare sector, logistic sector, digital sector, science and education innovations and Generation IV nuclear technology, it is reported.
