Kachin State Chief Minister Provides Rice and Foodstuffs to IDPs in Myitkyina and Waingmaw Township

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htin Nan met temporarily displaced families from villages in Myitkyina township and Waingmaw township, who are currently taking shelter in religious schools and orphanages in Myitkyina township, and provided supplies to the victims at the Manawshwepyi hall in office block, Myitkyina City.

The state chief minister and officials provided 6,472,200 kyats worth of 318 bags of rice. 138 noodle packs and 138 eggs to 542 people of 138 households from four villages in Myitkyina and eight villages in Waingmaw Township.

The victims reported their recent healthcare difficulties and needs to the Chief Minister. Responding to the reports, the Chief Minister coordinated the efforts of the official to meet the needs of victims during their temporary stay, it is reported.
