Bengalis in Buthidaung Township Stage a Mass Rally against AA Insurgents committing Terrorist Acts in Towns and Villages of Rakhine State

Professing themselves to serve the interest of the Rakhine State, the AA insurgents have been committing terrorist acts constantly in reality with intent to destroy the peace and stability and socioeconomic life of the local residents in the State. As such, the insurgents are launching attacks on non-military targets of the residential areas, religious edifices and schools using drones and heavy weapons.

As the local residents can no longer accept the aforesaid destructive acts, more than 2,000 Bengalis in wards/villages of Buthidaung Township of Rakhine State, who want community peace and stability, staged a mass rally on 19 March, shouting out the slogans in Myanmar and Bengali languages such as “We don’t want AA insurgents,” “We don’t want any fights” “Let’s defend Buthidaung,” “We don’t want Civil War,” “No more battle here”, it is reported
