The 50th Anniversary of Mon State Day, which falls on 19 March 2024, was held at Thamainbayan Field in Mawlamyine City and Secretary of the State Administration Council (SAC), Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe, participated in the ceremony. Next, he read out a message from SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing, commemorating the occasion.
Next, the SAC secretary and party attended the awards ceremony of Mon State’s honorary awards held at the State Hall in Mawlamyine Township. They conferred State honorary outstanding awards in business, in agriculture, in livestock breeding, in industry and in management to awardees.
In the evening, the SAC secretary and party attended the dinner of honor to mark the 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee of Mon State Day held at the Thameinbaram multipurpose ground and awards ceremony. They presented prizes to the winners in the Mon traditional group dance competition and Mon traditional singing, dancing, and playing musical instrument competitions.
