Authorities Arrest Seven Criminals and Three Other Related Assailants who Slash and Rob a High-Grade Pleader in Ahlon Township

A high-grade pleader U Nay Lin Aung was slashed and beaten on his way to his home in Ahlon Township by seven unconfirmed sword/metal stick-wielding assailants (under investigation). The incident took place on 5 March 2024 when seven unconfirmed assailants riding in leaden-coloured Taxi (Probox) with licensed plate of 4E-7950 slightly collided the said-lawyer’s car from beside. They then got off from Taxi and slashed as well as beat him with their wielded sticks and swords. Next, the criminals they forcibly took the lawyer’s cell phone of Infinix Note 13 and 700,000 of cash. Since a high-grade pleader Daw Aye Aye Mar complainted to Ahlon police station about the said-crime,  the investigation is now underway after the complaints has been filed with registration no (FIR) 54/2024 under penal code sections 395/397.

According to the investigated information, it is identified that the driver of leaden-coloured Taxi (Probox) with licensed plate of 4E-7950, which was used in the offence, is Ko ye (aka) Ye Kyaw Lin. According to further profession of the criminal and local residents’ secret tip-off, authorities received the information that the criminals were hiding in the premise of Povayon monastery of Tagaung Ward in Sagaing, together with a dark-blue-colored Toyota Hilux Surf vehicle with licensed plate of YGN-13 2E-6732 and a blue-colored Suzuki Swift vehicle with licensed plate of YGN-43 3E-5925. As the Yagon Region Police Force contacted with Sagaing Region Police Force to arrest the afore-said criminals, six offenders including Nga Myo (aka) Ko Myo (aka) Ye Myo Thein and three other related offenders including Myo Min Thein (aka) A Shay Gyi on 6 March. Along with them, two vehicles, five long swords, two daggers, one sling and 42 steel nuts used for shooting.

Nga Myo (aka) Ko Myo (aka) Ye Myo Thein, Okkar and Aung Gyi (aka) Aung Myat Min have been complainted as the leaders for the case of murdering U Kyaw Win Sein. The case has been filed with registration no (FIR) 206/2023 under penal code sections no 302 at Kyi Myin Dine police station. Detailed interrogation are being carried out to take legal proceeding against the criminals.
