The combined team comprising Anti-Narcotics Task Force members are putting an emphasis on seizure of narcotic drugs and drug-trafficking. According to the tip-off, the combined team searched and seized the drugs as follows:
- On 1 March, the combined team conducted a search on a suspicious motor-boat about five miles to the northwest of Thae Phyu Kyun near Chaung Tha village in Pathein township and they have arrested three suspects, together with over 5.24 billion kyats worth of 2.62 million stimulant tablets.
Legal action has been taken against them under the law, and officials are conducting ongoing investigations to identify the chain of drug-related offences, it is reported.
