Myanmar Armed Forces is conducting mutual study tours to further develop and strengthen relations with the armed forces of foreign countries, as well as organizing friendly sports competitions and participating in international military sports competitions.
In doing so, the cadet team of Myanmar Armed Forces participated in the Russia-Myanmar cadets swimming competition which was held from 5 to 10 September at the Russian Military Sports University in St. Petersburg of the Russian Federation, aiming to strengthen the friendship with the Russian Armed Forces.
The Russia-Myanmar cadet swimming competition was held from 5 to 10 September in 15 types of competitions. Officials presented medals to the cadets from Myanmar Armed Forces as they secured one gold, three silver and 12 bronze medals.
Moreover, the supervisors of competitive team and participating cadets from Myanmar visited the Russian Military Sports University, Artillery History Museum, Avrora Warship Museum and landmarks in St. Petersburg, had a group photo taken and exchanged gifts with Team Russia, securing the friendship between two armed forces.
The supervisors and cadets of team Myanmar returned to Yangon International Airport on 12 September, and were welcomed by the deputy commander of Yangon Command and officials at the airport.
