The State Administration Council (SAC) Member Daw Dwe Bu, accompanied by the Kachin state Chief Minister, the Chief Justice of Kachin state High Court and other state officials, attended a public meeting, inspected the state development activities and also visited the Public Hospital in Myitkyina town of Kachin state from 7 to 9 September. Daw Dwe Bu also coordinated with the state government, departmental officials to attend to the needs of local people.
- During the meeting organized at Kachin State Gymnasium, Daw Dwe Bu stated that the SAC is putting special emphasis on the multisector development of the State and successful holding of the free and fair multi-party general elections by laying down the five-point roadmap and nine objectives, and therefore, she called for the participation and contribution of the entire population.
- At the meeting with education staff at Myitkyina University, SAC Member Daw Dwe Bu said that the State Government is exerting efforts for the development of the youth sector and likewise, the educators must nurture students who can think critically about what is right and what is wrong throughout their life, foster talented and aspiring youth for the country’s future.
- The SAC member then participated in the get-together dinner as part of the Youth Fair Week development activities programme and enjoyed dinner together with University teachers and students.
- At the Shwe Nyaung Pin ward market of Myitkyina township, Daw Dwe Bu observed the sale of essential food items to locals at reduced prices, supervised by the state government.
- She delivered an address at an International Literacy Day event held at No 9 Basic Education High School (BEHS). She recognized winners of essay, poem, painting, and poster contests as part of the 2023 International Literacy Day celebrations. Subsequently, Daw Dwe Bu met education staff to discuss educational and related sector development matters.
- Additionally, the SAC member inspected the construction progress of the Ayeyarwady River Crossing Bridge and No 2 Bala Minhtin bridge on the highway of Mandalay-Lashio-Bhamaw-Myitkyina.
- She also fulfilled necessary measures to streamline commodity flow and upgrade the road connecting to the Waingmaw-Kampaiti border checkpoint at KEP Logistics Co., Ltd located in Tanbal Village of Waingmaw township.
- In the Industrial ward of Myitkyina Township. She also inspected the pulp paper factory running and producing raw materials at the Phyo Wai Wai paper and book enterprise which is operating with funds from the national economic development.
- She then visited the Bala Min Htin model paddy fields of ‘100 acres – 100 tins’ in Myitkyina township and encouraged the farmers who were planting monsoon paddy and their progress.
- At Myitkyina General Hospital 500-bedded, She greeted patients with encouragement and support for the patients, along with distributing food and cash.
- The SAC member also met with ethnic literature and cultural teams and associations from 12 ethnic tribes at the state government office. She stressed the importance of active participation in the census process as a vital element in national development.
- At the Gymnasium in Myitkyina city’s sports playground, the SAC member and her delegation engaged with local Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprise (MSME) entrepreneurs.
Also, present at the events were representatives from district/township administration bodies, town elders, economic entrepreneurs, ethnic literature and cultural teams, rectors and pro-rectors, professors, and departmental heads of Myitkyina University lecturers, tutors and education staff.
