The ceremony of the 62nd anniversary of Peasants’ Day held at Wardu Village in Kangyidaunt Township in Ayeyawady Region on 2 March, attended by State Administration Council Member Mahn Nyein Maung, the Ayeyawady Region chief minister, the commander of south-west command, the deputy minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, departmental officials and the farmers in region.
During the ceremony, the SAC member cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Peasants’ Day Ceremony and read out the message sent by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing.
Then, the SAC member and party watched the performance with songs in honour for Peasants’ Day, presented awards for cropping to prize-winning farmers and viewed the exhibition to mark the 62nd Anniversary of Peasants’ Day, it is reported.
