Ceremony Held to Open New Four-storey Building at the Orthopaedic Hospital (Mandalay) marking the Peasants’ Day

As a gesture of hailing the Peasants’ Day, a ceremony to open a new four-storey building of the Orthopaedic Hospital (Mandalay) took place at the square in front of the building on 1 March, with the attendance of Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win, Mandalay Region Chief Minister and officials.

First, Union Minister cut the ribbon to open the new-storey building of the Orthopaedic Hospital, and explained about the purposes of hospitals’ expansion, purchasing of the medicines and medications, modern medical equipment for using in hospitals, and appointment of more health staff. Then, he instructed the officials to warmly comfort the patients and to strive to become a public admired hospital.

The Orthopaedic Hospital (Mandalay) provides general treatments for bone diseases, lumbar spine surgery, hand related micro surgery, knee and thigh joint replacement surgery, another surgery for congenital clubfoot patients, in addition to, conducting Ph.D program, Master degree and nursing diploma for orthopaedics.
