Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Thet Thet Khine met officials of Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central), Myanmar-Chinese Cooperation and Communication Center, Myanmar-China Business Association, the Chamber of Commerce of Dehong Prefecture, China, Myanmar-China Tourism Promotion Working Group formed by Myanmar Tourism Federation and travel companies which are implementing Chinese tourism market at the Jade Hall of the Ministry to prepare destination managements for the smooth visit of Chinese visitors to the destinations in Myanmar on 28 August.
At the meeting, the Union Minister highlighted the following points:
- The travel companies are urged to make more efforts for arrivals of more Chinese visitors and to seek markets and the Ministry will provide necessary assistance.
- Efforts will be made more arrival of tourists from countries which have the potentials for tourism markets such as Russia, India and China in addition to ASEAN and regional countries.
Officials reported on tourism promotion, travel expos and Myanmar-China Tourism G2G and B2B cooperation. Myanmar-China tourism promotion plans, progress of works, experiences and further cooperation.
Deputy Minister, Director General, officials and acting commander of the World Tourism Security Police attended the meeting while those in charge of the regional/state branch offices participated online, it is reported.
