As every citizen is obliged to safeguard the "Our Three Main National Causes"; non-disintegration of the Union, non-disintegration of national solidarity and perpetuation of the sovereignty, the People's Military Service Law was enacted for every citizen to undergo military training to serve these duties. To implement the said-law, Nay Pyi Taw Council Committee on Summoning People’s Military Servants has been formed on 14 February 2024 under Section 7 of the People’s Military Service Law, and it consists of a chairman, two vice-chairmen, five other members and a secretary, totaling nine. Region/State Committees on Summoning People’s Military Servants have also been formed with nine members: a chairman, two vice-chairmen, five other members and a secretary, it is reported.
