Ceremonies marking 77th Anniversary Union Day of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar were held in regions, states and self-administered division and zones on 12 February 2024. Chief Ministers and officials, social organizations, students and local residents attended the events.
During the occasions, attendees saluted to the National Flag of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar; fallen Martyr leaders and comrades. Next, message sent by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing to 77th Anniversary Union Day was read out at the occasion. The attendees observed booths showcasing the activities for development the region, transport, rural development, tasks for social, economic, educational, health, agriculture as well as livestock and electricity supply in addition to booths related to Myanmar Police Force and Fire Brigade Force. Then, officials awarded prizes to the winners of departmental personnel and students. Afterwards, the attendees were served with traditional ethnic foods.
SAC member Dr. Ba Shwe and officials attended the ceremony making 77th Anniversary Union Day at the Khine Thazin Hall in Sittway. SAC member and party arrived at Ethnic Literature and Culture Department; met service personnel and gave instructions that personnel are required to work under civil service law and by-laws as they are serving the state’s duty; make efforts to end armed conflicts as much as they can; and fulfill their duties, it is reported.
