PDF Members with no Crime Records Returning Legal Fold Entrusted to their Parents and Provided necessary Support

The ceremony of entrusting PDF members, who completed trainings in the areas of some EAOs and returned to legal fold without committing any crime, to their respective parents has been holding at the Ayeyawaddy hall of South-western Command, Pathein City, Ayeyawaddy on 9 February as follows:

  • Four PDF members from Myan Aung Township of Ayeyawaddy Region, together with one M-4 carbine rifle, one Glock pistol and one Zoraki pistol, returned to legal fold after they delivered up their weapons to security personnel.
  • Chief Minister and dignitaries provided a total of 9 million kyats, supplies and foodstuffs for the weapons alongside them. Next, they presented honor of cash and foodstuffs to security personnel who confiscated arms and ammunition during their duty.

At present, the Government has welcomed the people who returned to the legal fold and provided them with the necessary assistance. Therefore, many people who are willing to return to the legal fold still remain and they need to contact nearby township and district administration bodies, military bases and police stations. Cash awards will be presented to those deliver up their weapons to security personnel. Up to 9 February 2024, a total of 723 persons including 567 males and 156 females have already entered the legal fold, it is reported.
