UEC Demonstrates Myanmar’s Electronic Voting Machine and Trial Voting at Ministries

The demonstrations of the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine and Trial Voting were held at the Ministry of Social Welfare Relief and Resettlement on 16 August.

During the events, the officials of UEC explained that using the voting machine will be able to prevent the voting frauds that had been occurred in printing ballot papers, preventing invalid votes. As such, there will be many benefits because of no more invalid votes balloted by the voters in the elections for various reasons.

The events were attended by the UEC members, officials concerned and officers and staff of relevant departments, and the trial voting were demonstrated also.
