On 7 February, KNLA group and PDF terrorists in multitude force launched an attack on a military unit in Zayetgyi Town of Htantabin Township, Bago Region. Nonetheless, the military unit bravely fought back to the enemies, in combination with fire support by aircrafts and artillery. When security personnel gave pursuit to terrorists in Zayetgyi Town;
- They spotted a “Alin Say Taman” philanthropic organization’s ambulance overturned at a roadside, and seized some dead bodies of insurgents as well as packed arms/ammunition and related accessories.
- It is examined that KNLA group and PDF terrorists are carrying out secret transport of arms/ammunition for acts of terrorism and transporting their injured members, under the reason of philanthropic works.
- When security personnel gave further continuous pursuit to terrorists in villages of the western Zayetgyi Town, they captured some dead bodies of insurgents, who fled in disorder after the fighting with the Tatmadaw military columns, in a building at a roadside, along with additional arms/ammunition and related accessories.
- Insurgents of terrorists experienced heavy casualties due to the Tatmadaw’s counter attack, airstrike and artillery fire support. On their way of retreat, they torched innocent civilians’ houses in the town. Some local residents feeling deeply hurt sent recorded photos and videos of houses on fire to security personnel.
Under the reason of philanthropic works, KNLA group and PDF terrorists are carrying out secret transport of arms/ammunition for acts of terrorism and transporting their injured members with the use of ambulances. People are urged to provide secret information about terrorists’ vandalism in villages/towns for peace and stability of the state as well as law and order, it is reported.
