The opening ceremony of the Shan State Ethnic Community and Vocational Training Centre was organized to mark the 77th Anniversary of Shan State Day, which will fall on 7 February, in Khapaungyaykyi Ward, Ayethaya of Taunggyi Township on 5 February. It was attended by State Administration Council members, Shan State Chief Minister, Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar, officials, invitees and ethnic people.
The Centre was established for carrying out national solidarity via the exchange of ethnic literature, dialogue, artworks and culture; the friendship among them; as well as improvement on knowledge and knowledge-sharing activities. Again, it aims for the development of socioeconomic status of locals in Shan State via vocational trainings and ethnic traditional handicraft trainings, it is reported.
