The combined team comprising Anti-Narcotics Task Force is putting an emphasis on seizure of illicit drugs. In this context,
- On 24 January, the combined team checked the vehicle “Ford Everest” driven by Tint Zaw, with cohort of Moe Naing Soe (aka) Shwe Thee and Nawarat Tun, on Waizayantar Road, Ward (8), South Okkalapa Township, and seized 38 kilos of ICE (Crystal Meth).
- According to the offender under interrogation, the combined team again seized 15 grams of ICE (Crystal Meth) and 400 stimulant tablets at the house in Maha Bandoola Street of Ward (49) in Dagon Myothit (North) Township where Tint Zaw and Nawarat Tun live. Next, the combined team confiscated 3.82 million stimulant tablets, 50 kilos of Ketamine and 10 kilos of ICE (Crystal Meth) in the vehicle “Toyota Alohard” and the container box in the yard that Tint Zaw has rented, located in Thakhin Ohnphe Gyi Street, Ward (42) of Dagon Myothit (North) Township.
- As a total, the combined team has seized over K7.52 billion worth of 3.82 million stimulant tablets, 48.015 kilos of ICE (Crystal Meth) and 50 kilos of Ketamine.
On 29 January, Kyaw Zeyar Nyunt (aka) Kyaw Zeya, who was involved in drug-related crime, was arrested in Tachileik. The offenders planned to make drug-trafficking to Kayin State from Shan State, via Yangon Region. Legal actions are being taken against the arrested offenders and further investigation and identification are being made to arrest those who are involved in drug-related crimes, it is reported.
