Efforts made to Increase Export Volume in the Fiscal Year of 2023-2024

 During the tenure of the State Administration Council Government, efforts are being made to increase export volume via border trade posts and regular trade routes. As a result:

  • Over four-month period, from 1 April to 28 July in the fiscal year of 2023-2024, Myanmar exported a total of 551,802.965 tonnes of pulses: 462,894 tonnes of varieties of pulses via maritime trade route and 88,907 tonnes of pulses via border trade posts, earning a total of USD 439. 469 million.
  • During four-month period, from 1 April to 31 July, Myanmar exported 23,198.555 tonnes of aquatic products to Thailand via Kawthaung border trade post, earning USD 26.52 million.

During seven-month period, from January to July, over 370 cargo ships docked at the Yangon International Port, it is reported.
