The Maravijaya Buddha Image, the world’s highest sitting Buddha images located in the precinct of Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw, is crowded with pilgrims since 8 August when it is open to the public free of charge. Thus, the monks, nuns and visitors flocked to the pagoda.
- The pilgrims paid homage to the Maravijaya Buddha image, practiced abstract meditation and chanted religious verses together by groups.
- They also paid homage to 720 small pagodas on the stone plaque chambers Mucalinda lake and Nagayon pagoda.
- The scenes of taking group photos with happiness by pilgrims were seen at the water fountain square and small as well as large water fountains systematically built in the Buddha Park and precinct of the Buddha Image.
- Pilgrims make cash donation with generosity for Maravijaya Buddha Image and other generous donors gave vegetarian fruit Biryani for all comers.
The Maravijaya Buddha Image is open to the public free of charge from 8 and 16 August between 6 am and 8 pm, it is reported.
