Maravijaya Buddha Image to be Opened for Public Homage with Free Entry From 8th To 16th August

The auspicious ceremonies to consecrate the Maravijaya Buddha Image, the world’s tallest sitting marble Buddha image, successfully erected in the precinct of the Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, hoist golden umbrellas atop small pagodas on stone plaque chambers and share the merits were held with resounding success on 1st August.

Currently, the clearing tasks are underway to remove the facilities used during the grand ceremonies to consecrate the Maravijaya Buddha Image. Therefore, the public will be allowed to pay homage to the Maravijaya Buddha Image free of charge from 8 to 16 August but they will have to undergo necessary security check-ups.
