Ceremony to Launch Upgraded MRTV Farmers’ Channel and MRTV Sports Channel Held

In commemoration of two years and six months of State service of the State Administration Council on 1 August 2023, and for the dedication ceremony of the Maravijaya Buddha Image in Nay Pyi Taw, which will be the highest among the seated Buddha statues in the world, a ceremony to launch MRTV Farmers’ Channel and MRTV Sports Channel jointly upgraded by the Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV) under Ministry of Information, and Hey Play Co., Ltd was held at the MRTV  Auditorium in Nay Pyi Taw Tatkone Township on 31 July.

During the ceremony, MRTV staff and famous vocalists entertained with songs and then a video clip on “Keep Moving Forward to Achieve Our Goal” was shown. After that, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn reported on Channel Rebranding of MRTV Farmers’ Channel and MRTV Sports Channel and measures to launch on 1st August 2023.

After showing the promo video clip on implementations for MRTV Farmers’ Channel  Rebranding and MRTV Sports Channel  Rebranding, Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San and Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn formally opened to rebrand MRTV Farmers’ Channel and MRTV Sports Channel starting 1st August according to the channels.

Then, representatives of the Ministries presented flowers baskets to Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn for the channel rebranding. Afterward, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn and Deputy Minister U Ye Tint presented gifts to the guests.

Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San, Union Ministers and party viewed around news broadcasting room of MRTV, Convergence News Room, MRTV HD, MRTV News Channel rooms, Farmers’ channel and sports channel on-air rooms, MRTV News Channel News Studio and Farmers’ News Studio.

MRTV Farmers’ Channel was launched on 15th October on 2013 and the MRTV Sports Channel  on 15th February on 2018. Now, in cooperation with Hey Play Co., Ltd, the programs will be upgraded and rebranded starting from 1st August and a total of 18 hours will be broadcast from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
