Ceremony for Passing-out Parade of Tatmadaw (Navy) Junior Officer Held

The passing-out parade of the Tatmadaw (Navy) Junior Officer (Management) Course (83), the Tatmadaw (Navy) Junior Officer (Engineering) Course (57), and the Tatmadaw (Navy) Female Junior Officer Course (9) were held at the Naval Training Command Headquarters in Thanlyin on 25 January. On behalf of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Vice-Admiral Zeya Kyaw Htin Zwe Win Myint delivered a speech at the parade.

Also present were senior military officers of the office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, the Commander of Yangon Command, senior military officers of Yangon Station and Thanlyin Station, the relatives of the trainee officers and distinguished guest at the ceremony.

After the ceremony was held under the parade schedules, the Vice-Admiral presented the awards to the outstanding trainee officers of the courses respectively.

On behalf of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Vice-Admiral Zeya Kyaw Htin Zwe Win Myint stressed the following points.

  • The Tatmadaw (Navy) is implementing the objectives of the Tatmadaw, i.e. it must be able to protect forwards for the nation; must be able to protect the nation's maritime interests; it must be able to conduct joint warfare of Army, Navy and Air; and it must be a strong and capable modern patriotic army.
  • Under the current political situation, the Tatmadaw (Navy) is carrying out operations and security measures together with Tatmadaw (Army) and Tatmadaw (Air), operations and military-related transport along the Ayeyawady River and Chindwin River, and Rakhine State.
  • The Tatmadaw (Navy) is working to protect the maritime interests of our country, which supports the interests of the country, for maritime trade routes and port security. In addition, the Tatmadaw (Navy) is also working together with the relevant organizations to conserve the rivers that support the trade network.

The Commander-in-Chief (Navy) and senior military officers took a commemorative photo with trainee officers after the parade, it is reported.
