The relevant ministries and officials have been providing cash assistance, rice and relief aids to the people in IDP camps who displaced by the attacks of terrorist insurgents in some villages and townships of Shan State. From 17 to 23 January,
- The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided shirts and soaps to 2,557 temporary displaced persons from 765 households in five IDP camps of Lashio in Shan State (North).
- The Township Administration Body Chairman and officials provided 458 rice bags (24 pyi per bag), 1,834 cooking oil bottles, 458 visses of Chickpea, 9,170 instant noddles packs, and 18,340 eggs to the temporary displaced persons from 1,834 households in the IDP camps of Hsihseng Township in Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Shan State (South).
- The Township Administration Body Chairman and officials provided 7,304 clothes (men’s and women’s wear), 7,304 soaps to 7,304 IDPs of 1,834 households in Hsihseng Township of Pa’O self-administered zone, Shan State (South).
The people who displaced by the attacks of terrorist insurgents would be facing difficulties of livelihoods, education, health and social issues. Therefore, officials from the relevant ministries have been making concerted efforts to address the problems.
