Efforts made to Increase Exports in the Fiscal Year of 2023-2024

In the tenure of State Administration Council Government, efforts are being made to increase exports via border trade posts and regular trade routes. During a week from 6 to 12 January 2024, Myanmar earned the following foreign income;

  • USD 87.617 million from the export of agro-products.
  • USD 0.342 million from the export of animal products.
  • USD 12.721 million from the export of fishery products.
  • USD 5.577 million from the export of mineral products.
  • USD 1.300 million from the export of forestry products.
  • USD 153.398 million from the export of CMP products.
  • USD 4.007 million from the export of other products, totaling USD 264.962 million.

Within nine months from 1 April to 31 December, Myanmar earned USD 32.079 million from the export of 8,432.104 tonnes of prawn to foreign markets.

Within nine months from April to December, Myanmar earned USD 462 million from the export of rice and broken rice to foreign markets.

From 1 April 2023 to 12 January 2024, Myanmar exported 1,210,457 tonnes of varieties of pulses to foreign markets.

It is scheduled to export 300,000 tonnes of rubber to foreign markets in this fiscal year.

From 1 April 2023 to 12 January 2024, the primary exports of Myanmar are sewed garments, gas, green gram, rice and broken rice, corn, fish, green bean, raw rubber, pigeon pea and tissue banana. The most export partner countries are Thailand, China, Japan, India, U.S, Germany, Poland, Spain, South Korea and Italy, it is reported.
