Various Organizations Issue Statements of Strong Condemnation against Demolition and Plunder of TNLA Insurgents of Terrorists on a Pagoda built near the Entrance to Namhsan

Using a backhoe, TNLA insurgents of terrorists demolished a pagoda built on a hill near the entrance to Namhsan town of northern Shan State and plundered treasures housed inside the pagoda. Moreover, they are doing the acts of insult to Buddhism such as demolition of pagodas, stupa and Buddha images and creation of bases under the cover of pagodas and stupa. 

Insurgents of terrorists willfully launched drone attacks and mortar attacks on pagodas, stupa, temples sacred to Myanmar Buddhist people and other religious buildings including churches in some regions and states. Moreover, they commit destructive acts towards Buddhism by taking position at religious buildings as their military bases. 

Since TNLA insurgents target beliefs of Buddhist people and are committing such acts of vandalism on Buddhism, Young Men’s Buddhist Association-YMBA (Central), Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Group (Central), Myanmar Evangelical Christian Alliance, Union of Myanmar Methodist Church (Lower Myanmar), Faith Evangelical Church (Bago), Deliverance Church (Yangon), All Myanmar Hindu Central Council, All Myanmar Tamil Hindu Foundation (HQ), Thananta Dhamma Palaka (Hindu) Association, Islamic Religious Affairs Council Myanmar, Pinnaygone Yakhine Jaame Mosque, Buthidaung-Maungdaw Regional Development Association, Myanmar War Veterans Organization, Myanmar Press Council, Myanmar Sports Media Federation, Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization, Myanmar Music Association (Central), Myanmar Artists Organization (Central), Myanmar Theatrical Association (Central), Myanmar Comedians’ Association and Myanmar Writers’ Association issued statements of strong condemnation on vandalism of insurgents of terrorists, it is reported.
