Union Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khine of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement received interim official Ms. Danielle Parry of the United Nations Office of the Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs-UNOCHA and a delegation at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 28 July.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the matters of the signing a new Letter of Agreement (LoA) between the ministry and UNOCHA, the serving duty of the UNOCHA Head in Myanmar, and the detailed plan for the distribution of relief materials to those affected by cyclone Mocha in Rakhine state and transport issues.
The Permanent-Secretary, Directors-General of the Departments and officials joined the meeting, it is reported.
