PDF Members with no Crime Records Returning Legal Fold Entrusted to their Parents and Provided necessary Support

The ceremony of entrusting PDF members, who completed trainings in the areas of some EAOs and returned to legal fold without committing any crime, to their respective parents has been holding at the Mingalar hall of Yangon Region Government Office on 8 January as follows:

  • A total of eight PDF members including six male and two female PDF members from Htantapin Township, Khayan Township, Kyauktada Township, Dawbon Township and Dala Township of Yangon region, were made to sign confessions and returned to their respective parents.

At present, the Government has welcomed the people who returned to the legal fold and provided them with the necessary assistance and also provided cash rewards to those who delivered up their weapons and ammunition. Therefore, many people who are willing to return to the legal fold still remain and they need to contact nearby ward, village, township and district administration bodies. Up to 8 January 2024, a total of 719 persons including 563 males and 156 females have already entered the legal fold, it is reported.
