In the tenure of State Administration Council Government, efforts are being made to increase exports via border trade posts and regular trade routes. During the period from 23 to 29 December 2023, Myanmar earned the following foreign income;
- USD 80.943 million from the export of agro-products.
- USD 0.186 million from the export of animal products.
- USD 10.314 million from the export of fishery products.
- USD 10.370 million from the export of mineral products.
- USD 0.685 million from the export of forestry products.
- USD 163.383 million from the export of CMP products.
- USD 12.592 million from the export of other products, totaling USD 278 million.
- During the period from 1st of April to 29th of December in this fiscal year, Myanmar earned USD 978.423 million from the total export of 1,154,963.874 tonnes of varieties of pulses: 1,019,125.476 tonnes via maritime trade route and 135,838 tonnes via border trade posts.
- During nine-month period from 1st of April to 31st of December in this fiscal year, Myanmar exported 345,438 tonnes of fishery products to foreign markets, earning USD 518.109 million.
- Myanmar exported over 700,000 tonnes of Myanma corn to foreign countries via maritime trade route and 1.2 million tonnes via border trade routes.
In January, 49 international cargo ships are scheduled to dock Yangon International Port, it is reported.
