The State flag-hoisting and saluting ceremony of the 76th Anniversary of Independence Day took place at the square in front of the City Hall in Nay Pyi Taw on 4 January.
First, the State flag-hoisting ceremony of the 76th Anniversary of Independence Day was held and the flag-hoisting platoon, accompanied by national races, raised the State flag. Afterwards, Chairman of the Central Committee for Organizing the 76th Anniversary of Independence Day Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Thiri Pyanchi Maha Thray Sithu Soe Win took the salute of the Guard of Honour. Then, the Vice-Senior General and attendees to the ceremony saluted the State Flag together with the Guard of Honour.
Afterwards, the Guard of Honour saluted the fallen leaders and soldiers and vowed the four-point oath. Then, the Vice-Senior General read out the message sent by Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thu dhamma Min Aung Hlaing to the 76th Anniversary Independence Day Ceremony. Afterwards, the Vice-Senior General took the salute of the Guard of Honour and then the ceremony concluded, it is reported.
